Lizards

Marine Lizards

The vast majority of Lizards are reptiles that are adapted to live on land and are not able to survive in marine environments. Some lizards can swim and can be found in close proximity to water, but they are not considered marine animals. However, these two Marine Lizards, the Mangrove Monitor and the Marine Iguana have unique adaptations for surviving in the Ocean waters.
