Cow & Frilled Sharks

Cow & Frilled Sharks (Hexanchiformes)

Cow & Frilled Sharks are the most primitive of sharks.
There are only 7 remaining living species within this order. In fact, Cow Sharks are considered the most prehistoric-like of all living sharks and are not believed to have adapted much at all from their resemblance to ancient forms. Due to their unique appearance and difference in habitat, it has been propose that Frilled Sharks be moved to their own order and away from Hexanchiformes, but no decision has been made on this.
