Whitespotted Bamboo Shark

Average Length – 3ft

They have unique color patterns of purple and pink spots, with dark bands, and a white body making it easy to identify.

They have small teeth that are used for grasping and crushing prey.

Indo-west Pacific Ocean. Madagascar to Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan.

They prefer in-shore waters near reefs.

Bony fish and Crustaceans.

Whitespotted Bamboo Sharks are nocturnal. They like to rest in reef crevices during the day and they actively feed at night.

They thrive in captivity and are found in many aquariums around the world, are harmless to humans, and are occasionally kept in large home aquariums.
