Average Size – 5ft
They have thin, streamlined bodies, with a short, wide, and rounded snout, and can be identified by the black tips on their fins.
They are light brown above with a white underside.
Blacktip Reef Sharks can be found in tropical waters in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. They prefer shallow in-shore waters, over reef ledges and sandy flats.

They are very timid and skittish, they will flee when approached by humans and pose little threat to them.
They are fast-swimmers and active hunters. They will swim alone or in small groups.
It is one of the most abundant sharks in the tropical coral reefs of the Indian and Pacific oceans.
They are common in aquariums for due to their “shark-like” appearance and their ability to breed in captivity.
